It's been a productive weekend since the long weekend started and so yesterday, we just decided to relax and unwind. We don't have any plans of buying anything but when we went to Cyberzone, we decided to drop by Silicon Valley. While inside the store, a netbook caught my attention. I knew that my Mama would like it. She's been longing to have a laptop for some time now. I asked Ferdie if it would be ok to buy it for my nanay. He said yes so without further hesitations, we bought it! Oh dear, you can just imagine how happy my mama was after seeing it at home. She even cried! Belated happy birthday Mama! we hope you liked it!

I must admit, I really love this...I was able to finish 3 before at the time when all are into cross-stithing. About a month ago, Ferdie and I went to Quiapo to buy the compressor for our ref but when we passed by Wellmanson, we saw this shop selling all cross-stitching materials. I immediately looked for a pattern which I think would suit best our dining room. Good thing, I was able to find the fruit pattern. I asked the lady how big the outcome would be and she told me that I need to buy 1 yard of cloth for that pattern. I bought the pattern and some DMCs so I can start working at home...When I went home, I was surprised how BIG it was! I'll post some pics to show you how will it progress. Ferdie told me that it will be finished by next year...hahahah! Oh well, wish me luck!

The moment our company decided to move to a new office location, our team have been very busy packing things and completing files for archiving. Yes, you read it right...my journey towards a healthier me has begun! I know I've committed a lot of times to be fit and healthy but I always fail. This time I want to make sure that it will work. I'm not getting any younger and the thought and feeling of being sick stresses me more. I also would want to fit in to my old clothes and be able to feel better about myself...Wish me luck!

The son of our good friends Weng and Toto, celebrated his 1st birthday at Shakey's North Edsa...The boy was super cute and BIG to think he only turned one! The party was also a blast! A lot of kids and adults joined the games. My inaanka, Jhana also won as best in costume for being Tinkerbell.It was also a good thing that Ferdie and I attended the party since almost all of my previous officemates were there and we kinda had a small reunion...Here's the bday boy, Franz with me.

Tom, June 2 is my Papa's 61st birthday! small celebration lang tom since the party will happen sa sat pa. We already gave our bday present last sat and super saya ni Papa when he saw the box. Our plan sana kasi is to have the tv delivered on his bday pero since 1 day lang yung sale, we decided na i-advance na lang. Good thing, pag uwi namin, wala pa sila sa haus so we were able to place it sa sala nila. Ang sarap ng feeling when I saw how happy my Papa was. We love you so dearly Papa! May you continue to have a good health and more apo's (from me and ferdie naman! hehehe) Happy birthday to the greatest tatay in the whole world!!!

It's school time once again. I'm sure a lot of mommies out there were busy to prepare their kid's baon. How time flies...summer lang tpos, pasukan ulit. All my pamangkins are excited to go back to school (not sure kung dahil sa baon or they really missed their friends / schoolmates hehehe). Since pasukan ulit, traffic galore na naman. One more thing, sana the swine flu will eventually go away. kawawa naman yung mga kids.

Philips' Bodega Sale

Hubby and I went to the bodega sale at A. Venue and Events hall last sat. I only knew of this sale when a friend emailed me last friday. Good thing we still went even if it's raining hard that time. We really had some good buys. We were able to buy a flat tv and a home theater system (hts). The flat tv is our bday gift to my dad but the HTS, for us (actually kay hubby!) We are only keen on buying the tv but the hubby was able to convince me that the HTS was sooo sulit! When we arrived at home, he immediately set it up and oh boy, the sound was so good! I believe him!!!

Obando festival

Hubby and I will be celebrating our 2 yrs and 2 months anniv tom, May 17 and we both agreed to start our day by going to Obando and attend the mass. It's been more than 2yrs since we got married but the blessing that we've been praying from the ONE above has not yet arrived. I just believe that he will give it to us in his own perfect time...I just can't help but feel sad sometimes when there are people who are so rude to ask and assume that they know everything! I often just smile at them pero there are instances talaga na grabe, kakainis na! wag na sila mag comment please! They don't know what TTC couples are feeling everytime they say those things...I'll include them in my prayers na lang that God will forgive them for they don't kno what they are saying.

Btw, I made some research about the Obando festival and accdg to what I've found in the net, the streets are filled with couples hoping for children who dances during the procession and appealing that they will be given the blessing of having children. They say that if you want a wife, you dance to San Pascual Baylon. Conversely, if you want a husband, then you dance to Santa Clara de Assisi. Finally, if you want a child you dance to the Virgen de Salambao.

Hubby and I will pray and strut our stuff tom. I'm sure it will be fun, fun, fun!

Since we moved to our new house last Dec, I'm very keen on buying a new sofa. The one we are currently using (which was given to us by my Tita) is too small. When we used to rent a unit, the sofa is perfect since we wanted to maximize the small space we have at that time. I know there's global crisis going on so I need to use my convincing powers so the hubby would allow me to buy.hehehe...I'll tag him along on the 3-day Homeworld Warehouse Sale which will happen from Feb 27 to Mar 1 at Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall. I just hope that the discounts are really, really BIG! Wish me luck!

last saturday night was super fun,fun,fun! my kuya alvin and my dear hubby, ferdie celebrated their birthdays! we all had a great time...after countless bottle of beers, spicy pulutans and wan to sawa videoke, the party ended at 2:30am..to my kuya, happy bday! i just wish you good health and more blessings pa...to my hubby, i love you and happy bday! Wii night

It's my first time to play the game and I'm so happy I won and became the overall champion! Our korean ofcmate invited us to have dinner and play wii at their condo in Pioneer Highlands. We thought we will not be able to make it since it was a friday night and traffic was just tremendous...When we arrived at their place, feeling ko, di ko na kaya. Sobrang pagod sa byahe from makati to mandaluyong. We left the ofc at 6:30 and arrived at her place around 8pm. We just had pasta, pizza and salad for dinner. Around 9pm, it's time to play! We were divided into 2 teams for the bowling match and our team won! clap,clap,clap...most of us were able to hit strike...galing! The second game was boxing were we all played individually. Sobrang sakit sa arms after the game but sulit because I won and I think I was able to do some exercise for my arms.hehehehe...

The games were so hilarious...We even had our own version of hep,hep, hooray! and of course the kapuso channel's pinoy henyo. Our team, lost...sad.sad.sad...but the party was just so fun, we enjoyed it to the max...here are some pics...

Moving in

As what I've mentioned in my last post, we thought we can move in before end of Nov. I didn't realize that it will took some more time (and more money!)to complete all the finishing touches for the house. I'm happy to say that we will finally be able to move between Dec 13-14. Though, there will still be some fix that needs to be done, we are ready! I'll post some pics soon.

Ferdie and I are so exhausted but also excited since we started building our house...It all started in Aug 11, 2008 and until now, it's not complete yet. Hopefully, it will be completed by end of Nov so we can already spend our christmas in our new home! Yipee!!! The exhausting part is the expenses since the materials are so expensive!!! haay!!! Now, I'm thinking twice before buying a coffee from Starbucks. Pambili na rin ng bakal and semento yung coffee addiction ko...hehehehe!

This past few days, I'm not really feeling well. Ferdie told me to rest since he noticed that I'm always complaining of back pains, headache, etc. He even teased me and said "matanda ka na kasi". haay! I really have to find time to take care of myself. I badly needed a massage...taking vitamins is not enough. I'm now on the look out for a relaxing spa. Any suggestions?

It's been awhile since my last post. 2 weeks, I think. I got stuck with a lot of things to do in the office. Well, what else is knew. My husband is getting used to it. There are times that I feel so guilty bec I am so glued at my work that I don't really have time to cook for my husband. The past week, we just ate out after work since I'm so tired I told him I don't have the energy to cook...haay! this is life!

The LA Lakers survived another game against the Boston Celtics winning game 5 at the Staples Center. It was a heart pumping game since the Lakers were leading by 21 pts in the 1st half then all of a sudden, the lead was just cut into 2 until the beginning of the 4th quarter. Good thing the lakers, led by Kobe did a great job holding on to their lead. Game 6 will be at Boston were the Lakers will need another win to even out the series. Go, go, go lakers!!!

A good friend and former ofcmate Gwen, got married yesterday to Marc. The ceremony and reception was held at the Conservatory, Manila Peninsula. The bride was so radiant in her all white gown while the groom was so dashing in his barong. The ambiance was simply elegant. It was pure white from table linens, to flowers to cake, give aways, everything! We had fun! We felt the love the couple have for each other...To Marc and Gwen, a toast to a happy and blissful marriage!!!

I am becoming to be a real coffee addict...What's with mocha frap ba? Super sarap for me...in a week, tipong almost everyday ako bumibili...naku, alam ko bad ang too much caffeine esp that I'm preparing myself to be healthy before becoming pregnant...Isa, it's fattening. Buti na lang, meron na ko conviction ngayon na mag exercise every sat..mahirap lang gumising kce sarap matulog...aga pa naman ng aero class namin...pero fulfilling...feeling ko, gumagaan pakiramdam ko. Will power and determination talaga ang kailangan ko. I know I can do it! NakS!!!

I was so frustated last week. I thought we are on the way but NOT! I was already 1 week delayed but on the morning that I decided to have a preg test, my monthly visitor came...waah!!!

Sadness! My monthly visitor just arrived this morning. Never talaga nag miss! Hay, I felt sad talaga kce wala pa din. Pero si Ferdie naman laging nandyan to comfort me. Sabi niya, our blessing will come in the right time...think positive! I am really keen on seeing an OB after my period. I also need to start losing weight. A very dear friend and officemate, Mayeth gave me a book written by Bo Sanchez. I just started reading it and I'm so inspired by his stories. It's full of humor and wisdom. The book teaches us:

1) How to live in first class wherever you are
2) How to be happy without money so that when money arrives, you'll even be happier
3) How to attract money, but the kind of money that can make you holy.
4) How to defeat the "giants in your mind" that prevent you from entering into your Promised Land.

Haay! What's new??? I was soooo bussyyy last week finalizing reports and attending meetings and conference calls...I feel super stressed na and I think I really, really deserve a BREAK!!!

Good thing is, I still have remaining leave credits from 2007 so I will be on leave this coming friday, monday, tuesday and on the 28th!!! yipee...

I don't have plans yet on how I will spend my VL's...btw, Hubby will only be on leave this monday (1st wedding anniv namin eh...) Ano kaya magandang gawin?

Happy birthday to me! Yes, March 9 is my bday but since it fall on a sunday, we decided na sat na lang yung celebration. I'm so happy because almost all my relatives from my father side were there! We had videoke until 2am grabe! Sobrang saya ko! I was touched by their presence esp during the time that all sang the bday song and all are wishing na magkaroon na kami ng baby. That was really my ultimate wish!

Thanks to my family and relatives for coming and kay hubby since he was the one who cooked. I love you so much Honeybunch!!!!

I finally had the time to post and share some of my husband's DIY. It all started when I joined w@w and got inspired with all the beautiful DIY stuffs that my fellow co-w@wies were doing. I asked Ferdie if we can also make bracelets to be given to our ninangs and female entourage, buti na lang he also liked the idea.

At first, mahirap din kce we don't know how to do it pero si Ferdie talaga, persistent na makagawa! I'm so lucky na mahilig siya. Not all men will do the same thing esp kung bracelets..huh! di naman ako nagduda sa kanya...hehehe!

After doing the bracelets, he also tried other things like yung cord namin, headpiece, earrings and necklace. Super happy kami sa outcome!

Dagupan, este Baguio adventure!

Ferdie and I, along with my Papa, Mama and Tita Ams all went to Baguio last friday night. We decided to leave the house at around 9pm just to be there at the Cubao Terminal of Victory Liner before 11pm. We have no reservations pero I did not expected na super, as in super dami ng tao sa terminal when we arrived. Haaayyy!

I can't seem to find the line para makakuha ng tickets. Si Mama, high blood na kce di daw ako agad nagpa reserve, eh wala ng trip that night! We were advised na 8:30am na yung next trip. Oh boy! What are we gonna do??? Buti na lang I heard the couple in front of me that they will just take the Dagupan trip which will leave at 12mn and just transfer from there. I told Ferdie, ganun na lang din gawin namin. Buti na lang nag agree si Mama and Papa. Bahala na kung ano yung sasakyan namin pagdating ng Dagupan.

We left the terminal at exactly 12mn and arrived at Dagupan mga 4:30 am. When we arrived, I immediately asked the driver kung meron trip going to Baguio. Meron pero ordinary so no aircon! naku, paano yun?

Since wala ng choice and the bus will be leaving na rin in 5mins, game na, sakay na kami!

Around 7am nasa Baguio na kami! The good thing is we were able to arrive before the parade started at 8:15am.

Moral lesson: mag pa reserve lalo na pag Panagbenga Festival.

I was privileged to visit Tokyo, Japan last July 10-15...My japanese colleague and I were sent there for a 3-day training...Syempre, super happy and excited ako since 1st time ko to go there! japayuki ang byuti ko...hehehe! Opportunity ko na din to visit Tokyo Disneyland and kahit na ayaw ako samahan ng ofcmate ko, I was really determined to go there!

We left July 10 and arrived at around 8pm...it was raining that night since may padating na typhoon and guess what, galing ng pinas! super daming tao nag check out...1hr pa b4 finally, nakalabas na rin kami. my ocfmate bought the bus tickets going to the hotel. From Narita airport, 1 1/2 hrs pa un byahe.ang tagal! We checked in at Hotel Okura - Tokyo mga past 11pm na and after unpacking my things, I went to bed.

The following day, aga kami gumising since we need to go to the training...it went well naman...that's what we did for 3 days...ofc, hotel, ofc lang...un last day namin sa training, I went back sa hotel to leave my laptop...after nun, labas ako ulit to look around...lakad lakad lang.I just bought mcdo for dinner...medyo hirap din since most of them does not speak english! haay!

The next day, I decided to visit Disneyland...I told myself, bahala na basta I need to see the place! I just took the subway trains, changed stations and finally I was at the happiest place on earth! deadma na lan even if medyo maulan nung time na un...I was super happy to see the disney princesses, mickey, minnie, donald, daisy, goofy, pluto, etc...super ganda ng parade...It was a lilo and stitch theme kaya sobrang colorful! here are some pics...

Whew! It's been a long time since I last blogged and I must admit that I missed it. I've been screwed up with a lot of things (work and home related) but still managed to pull those through! Ferdie and I are enjoying every minute of our time as husband and wife. There were times that we still can't believe that we are finally married since we've been together for 8 years as bf/gf before we tied the knot.

New things I've found out since getting married...
1. I'm beginning to learn (love) how to cook (aside from the usual nilaga, sinigang and tinola). Im enjoying and collecting recipes and asking my hubby if the tastes is "pasado" to him.
2. I learned how to iron clothes and do the laundry (arrgh!)
3. I learned how to compromise a lot and be more understanding and patient!

I'm really enjoying married life and praying to GOD that soon he'll give us our own bundle of joy...I'm not preggy pa eh :(

I super love this girl! She became an instant friend. Hubby and I met her during the Wedding Expo last Sept 2006. At that time, we were keen on booking a cake supplier. We met several cake suppliers but my heart is set on Emily. After seeing her designs and tasting the cake, we came back a few minutes and booked her! The cake design was finalized around Nov. She made several designs for the minicakes and cutting cake plus incorporated our butterfly theme!
Come wedding day, the cake was a huge hit! Everyone loved how it tasted and looked! Ang cute and ang ganda talaga. Hubby and I really liked the color combi, fuschia pink and green. Pinagkaguluhan un minicakes! If not for the souvenirs that my parents gave us, we would have opted to order more to give to our guests.

From time to time, I would text her to remind her of the scheduled pick up date. I kept on praying na sana ok naman un kalabasan ng gown ko. I must admit na nung wala pa akong napiling design, napa-praning na ko kaka search sa internet ng gown na simple pero maganda. Syempre, iba ata pag maganda un gown mo di ba! Pero nung nakapag pasukat na ko at habang malapit na un wedding, I realized na the most important thing is to get married to the one I love and that our union will be blessed by GOD. Pampalubag loob ba...hehehe...pero totoo. I may not have the most beautiful gown but I'm sure GOD made me the most beautiful bride that day! naks! ang kapal...hehehehe....Ganoon ata talaga pag kinakasal eh...God makes all brides pretty on their BIG day!

Nga pala, the brooch was another labor of love ni hubby.

We got a two toned, 14K ring with 3 stones each. The staff are also very accomodating.

Aside from the mini cakes, we thought of giving our guests jewelry box. One can't go wrong sa divi (pero syempre you have to haggle ha!), from 35 pesos each, my mom got it at 28 na lang. Nag tyaga talaga kami to look for the one that will give us the lowest price. The jewelry boxes are cute! It even has a butterfly on top that complimented our butterfly theme. The tindera who assisted us is also nice. Imagine, we opened mga 4 boxes just to get all the pink and green colored jewelry boxes!

To spruce it up, we just wrapped it with tulle and ribbons following our color motiff plus the DIY gift tags (made by me!).

TIP: Once you've decided on the souvenirs, buy it early so you will have ample time to wrap it. We bought the souvenirs 2nd week of Nov so first week of Dec, I'm done!

Hehehe...need I say more! syempre, labor of love ni hubby so mataas un rating ko. It all started with the inspirations I got from our w@w sisters. Our first project was the wedding cord. We did it mga two weeks din kce everytime pumupunta kami ng Quiapo to buy the materials, dami namin nakikita na kung ano-ano na gusto namin ilagay sa cord. Pearls, butterflies, swarovskis, etc. Upon seeing the final product, natuwa si hubby kaya ayun, na inspire gumawa ng iba pa. Lahat yun gawa niya. Ako lang taga-approve! hahahaha!

Tip: This is one of the best moments we had before getting married. The bonding really made a BIG difference so if you have the time and creativity, this one is really a good start. Na pa-practice un patience ng bawat isa.

The wines are ok naman accdg to one of our ninongs. For the packaging, we just bought wine bags from Divi and placed our DIY gift tag and added ribbons.

Labor of love ulit ni hubby un bracelets! Our ninangs were impressed nung nalaman nila na si hubby un gumawa. Dapat daw ako, kce ako un babae. Naku! baka iniisip nila malansa dugo ni hubby! hehehe (di naman po cia bading!)
The bracelets were made of pink and green swarovskis following our color motiff. The mini cakes were part of the package from Emily.

We have 2 guestbooks. Since meron kaming na avail na prenup guestbook layout from Paul, we just asked someone to print and bind it. the result wa ok naman. Yung isa ala- scrapbook style using our prenup pics. We just bought handmade papers and some scrapbook materials para maganda tpos nag print na lan ako ng mga questions para masagutan ng guests (un tipong "why do you think the couple are meant for each other", best advice to keep the peace, love, etc.). Nakakatuwa basahin un mga sagot ng guests!
