Opportunity ko na din to visit Tokyo Disneyland and kahit na ayaw ako samahan ng ofcmate ko, I was really determined to go there!

I'm back

Whew! It's been a long time since I last blogged and I must admit that I missed it. I've been screwed up with a lot of things (work and home related) but still managed to pull those through! Ferdie and I are enjoying every minute of our time as husband and wife. There were times that we still can't believe that we are finally married since we've been together for 8 years as bf/gf before we tied the knot.

New things I've found out since getting married...
1. I'm beginning to learn (love) how to cook (aside from the usual nilaga, sinigang and tinola). Im enjoying and collecting recipes and asking my hubby if the tastes is "pasado" to him.
2. I learned how to iron clothes and do the laundry (arrgh!)
3. I learned how to compromise a lot and be more understanding and patient!

I'm really enjoying married life and praying to GOD that soon he'll give us our own bundle of joy...I'm not preggy pa eh :(

Supplier's rating - Cake

CAKE: Emily Uy (I love Sugarbox!)
PESO POWER: 7K
INCLUSIONS: 50 pcs minicakes (butter pound and carrot walnut), cutting cake (carrot walnut), free delivery and set up.
RATING: 5++++++

I super love this girl! She became an instant friend. Hubby and I met her during the Wedding Expo last Sept 2006. At that time, we were keen on booking a cake supplier. We met several cake suppliers but my heart is set on Emily. After seeing her designs and tasting the cake, we came back a few minutes and booked her! The cake design was finalized around Nov. She made several designs for the minicakes and cutting cake plus incorporated our butterfly theme!
Come wedding day, the cake was a huge hit! Everyone loved how it tasted and looked! Ang cute and ang ganda talaga. Hubby and I really liked the color combi, fuschia pink and green. Pinagkaguluhan un minicakes! If not for the souvenirs that my parents gave us, we would have opted to order more to give to our guests.

Cons:
None.

Another great w@w find! SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Supplier's rating - Bride's gown

BRIDAL GOWN: Lucky 13 (Jeannie)
PESO POWER: 6K
INCLUSIONS: Bridal gown in elegant satin, 3 meters detachable train, bolero, first and second veil, coin and arrhae pillows, pouch bag
RATING:
Gown - 3
Service - 1

Naku, eto ang supplier na talagang sumubok sa patience naming lahat...hehehe... Since we have set a certain budget for my gown, ready na ko to walk down the aisle wearing just a simple gown. My design is very simple and with minimal beads. All I want is to have a very long train. During our first meeting, ok kausap c Jeannie. From time to time, I would text her to remind her of the scheduled pick up date. I kept on praying na sana ok naman un kalabasan ng gown ko. I must admit na nung wala pa akong napiling design, napa-praning na ko kaka search sa internet ng gown na simple pero maganda. Syempre, iba ata pag maganda un gown mo di ba! Pero nung nakapag pasukat na ko at habang malapit na un wedding, I realized na the most important thing is to get married to the one I love and that our union will be blessed by GOD. Pampalubag loob ba...hehehe...pero totoo. I may not have the most beautiful gown but I'm sure GOD made me the most beautiful bride that day! naks! ang kapal...hehehehe....Ganoon ata talaga pag kinakasal eh...God makes all brides pretty on their BIG day!

Nga pala, the brooch was another labor of love ni hubby.

PESO POWER: 4K
INCLUSIONS: Barong made from Pina Silk plus pants
RATING:

My groom is so happy with his barong. Hindi pumalpak si Jeannie dito. Bagay na bagay kay hubby and of course, ang gwapo niya! ahahahaha (love your own!). His pants is ok naman. Simple lang si hubby eh.

Supplier's Rating - Gowns

MOH, Veil and Cord Sponsors' Gown - Lucky 13
PESO POWER : 1,100 each (exp shouldered by my Ento)
RATING:
Gown - 3
Service - 1

Sobrang palpak si Jeannie dito. Un MOH gown, mali un sukat so gawa na un gown, inulit uli at sinukatan na naman un MOH ko. Mali din kce un design kahit na ilang beses na na-explain un design. Ung sa veil and cord sponsors, un isa sobrang haba ng skirt, un isa naman maluwag sa arms....naku! nakakasakit ng ulo kaya I asked them to coordinate na lan with Jeannie for the repairs. Imagine, one week na lan i-re repair pa un gown ng MOH.
Don't ever consider them.

FLOWER GIRLS GOWNS, JR. BRIDEMAIDS GOWN, CANDLE SPONSOR'S GOWN, MOTHER OF THE GROOM'S GOWN - Jhune Marcelino (Rental only)
PESO POWER: 150 each for the FG, 300 each for the Jr. BM, Candle and Mother's Gown
RATING: 5

Due to budget constraints, we decided to just rent the gowns of the flower girls, jr. bm, candle sponsors and my mom in law's gown. Sobrang daming gowns for rent dito. Very affordable pa un price. Sulit!

MOTHER OF THE BRIDE'S GOWN - Bobby Novenario (RTW)
PESO POWER: 3K
RATING: 5

As mentioned in my wedding kwento, last minute decision ito ng nanay ko.

In fairness, maganda at bagay sa kanya yung gown.

Supplier's rating - Rings

RINGS: Goldenhills Jewelry
PESO POWER: 24K
RATING: 5

This was the 2nd supplier that we booked! We booked them during the bridal fair at megamall last June 2006. We've found the perfect pair for us and since the reservation is only 1K to lock the price, nag pa reserve na agad kami! We paid them on installment basis and got the rings early Feb 2007. We got a two toned, 14K ring with 3 stones each. The staff are also very accomodating.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Supplier's rating - LCD / Projector

LCD Screen and Projector: Bogs (referred by Dan Pamintuan)
PESO POWER: 3.5K
RATING:
Unit - 4
Service - 2

I only met this guy after the reception. He was referred to me by Paul and Dan. Nag pa reserve ako thru phone and text lang. Cguro mga late Feb ako nag pa reserve. Ok naman cia kausap kaya lang nung reception na at ready na i-play un AVP made by Dan, di cia mahanap ng coordinator / friends namin. Nawawala cia! Yun pala nasa parking...Naku, uminit ulo ko nung di cia makita. Tpos eto pa, wala siyang dalang DVD player na extra kce un dala niya, nasira daw! Talaga naman! Buti na lan Dan sent the file to Paul kaya laptop un ginamit.
In fairness, malinaw naman talaga un result ng AVP. Buti na lang.

TIP: Make sure na meron back up or extra DVD player

Supplier's rating - Souvenirs

SOUVENIRS: Jewelry Box bought at Divi
PESO POWER: 28 each (free! c/o of my parents!)
RATING: 5

Aside from the mini cakes, we thought of giving our guests jewelry box. One can't go wrong sa divi (pero syempre you have to haggle ha!), from 35 pesos each, my mom got it at 28 na lang. Nag tyaga talaga kami to look for the one that will give us the lowest price. The jewelry boxes are cute! It even has a butterfly on top that complimented our butterfly theme. The tindera who assisted us is also nice. Imagine, we opened mga 4 boxes just to get all the pink and green colored jewelry boxes!

To spruce it up, we just wrapped it with tulle and ribbons following our color motiff plus the DIY gift tags (made by me!).

TIP: Once you've decided on the souvenirs, buy it early so you will have ample time to wrap it. We bought the souvenirs 2nd week of Nov so first week of Dec, I'm done!

Supplier's rating - Photo Mosaic

PHOTO MOSAIC : DIY c/o our friend (Jojo)
PESO POWER: printing - 200, frame - 400
RATING: 5+++++

Good thing our friend volunteered to do this for us. We made use of our prenup pics and just have it printed sa Kameraworld. We just bought the frame sa SM. Now, naka hang na cia sa haus namin ni hubby! Kakatuwa!

Special thanks to Clarice for the easels!

Supplier's Rating - Cord, Hairpiece, Earrings and Cuff Bracelet

CORD, HAIRPIECE, EARRINGS and CUFF BRACELET: DIY by my hubby!
PESO POWER: More or less mga 1K
RATING: 5+++++++++++ Hubby's labor of love!!!

Hehehe...need I say more! syempre, labor of love ni hubby so mataas un rating ko. It all started with the inspirations I got from our w@w sisters. Our first project was the wedding cord. We did it mga two weeks din kce everytime pumupunta kami ng Quiapo to buy the materials, dami namin nakikita na kung ano-ano na gusto namin ilagay sa cord. Pearls, butterflies, swarovskis, etc. Upon seeing the final product, natuwa si hubby kaya ayun, na inspire gumawa ng iba pa. Lahat yun gawa niya. Ako lang taga-approve! hahahaha!

Tip: This is one of the best moments we had before getting married. The bonding really made a BIG difference so if you have the time and creativity, this one is really a good start. Na pa-practice un patience ng bawat isa.
